New Account Agreement Terms
Terms and Conditions for use of this website:
Welcome to AT4ALL Vermonters, a free service for Vermonters with disabilities, their families, service providers, schools and agencies. AT4ALL Vermonters is a one-stop resource where individuals can browse assistive technology items that are available for loan or demonstration from the Vermont Assistive Technology Program and where schools can locate items for sale or loan from other schools. If you are looking for assistive technology items available for sale or donation from the general public, please visit our New England Assistive Technology Exchange Site, http://www.getatstuff.com.
Before creating an account, you must click the checkbox to acknowledge that you have read and accept this agreement.
1. Registration Obligations
By completing the registration, you acknowledge that you are at least 18 years of age. You agree that you will provide true, accurate, current and complete information about yourself as prompted by the site.
NOTE: The Vermont Assistive Technology Program does not share personal information we collect with any other organizations except of our member tryout centers and then only with your pre-approval given at the time you register as a site user. We do not sell email addresses or any other data we collect.
2. Limitation of Liability
You understand that it is very important that you involve the appropriate professional when choosing assistive devices. For example, an occupational therapist or physical therapist should be involved when choosing mobility aids such as standers or wheelchairs.
You understand and agree that AT4ALL Vermonters and The Vermont Assistive Technology Program are not responsible for any liability or damages for any accident or injury resulting from the use of loaned, free, or purchased equipment.
3. Device Loan Agreement
You understand that the procured equipment on loan is for use only by the individual specified in the loan agreement, unless otherwise noted. You understand that this equipment is to be used only in a smoke-free environment.
You understand that loaned equipment is to be returned to The Vermont Assistive Technology Program on or before the Due Date. If equipment is not returned by the due date, you may be charged a $25.00 per day late fee unless prior written arrangements are made with VATP. You understand that you are responsible for any repairs or replacement costs incurred due to abuse, negligence, loss of theft of this equipment during the lending period.
4. School Equipment Exchange
AT4ALL Vermonters is a secure website and database that permits descriptive listings of assistive technology to be entered, edited, removed, searched and the management of registered users’ listings. The Vermont Assistive Technology Reuse Project is a joint effort of the Vermont Assistive Technology Program (VATP) and the Vermont Family Network (VFN). VATP and VFN do not profit from the sale or exchange of listed devices.
The VT AT Reuse Project in Vermont does not warrant the condition or terms of sale of any device listed on the website. The VT AT Reuse Project in Vermont shall not be liable for any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, costs, expenses (including but not limited to settlements, judgments, court costs and reasonable attorney's fees), fines and penalties arising out of any actual or alleged injury, loss, or damage of any nature whatsoever in connection with the sale or use of any device purchased, sold, loaned, traded or reutilized under the VT AT Reuse Project.
It is the responsibility of the registered, authorized user who lists a device to provide accurate and detailed information about the device's specifications and condition to any potential buyer or acquirer. It is understood that authorized representatives from each school, district, or supervisory union will maintain accurate listings with timely management of inquiries and transactions. I-team members agree to acquire equipment from the AT School Swap website for participating schools only. Federal reporting requirements and validity of your school reports depend on this accuracy. The role of the AT Reuse Project in Vermont is limited to sharing approved information, managing listings, and collecting generic data that does not personally identify students.
The VT AT Reuse Project in Vermont reserves the right to edit or refuse registrations and listings based on the information submitted by a user. No personally identifiable information appears in the listings unless the user includes it. If your listing is published in other media or formats (such as newsletters, handouts, websites, etc.), only your choice of identification and an Item ID number will be used.
In the event you experience a problem with any transaction arising from the VT AT Reuse Project, you agree to hold harmless the State of Vermont, the Assistive Technology Program, partners and their grantees, successors and assignees.
5. Community Equipment Exchange - Listing Items for Sale, Trade or Give-Away
Please use www.getATstuff.com for this purpose. Any items listed by an individual (that is not an authorized user of the AT School Exchange) will be removed and you will be redirected to www.getatstuff.com.
You understand that AT4ALL Vermonters reserves the right to edit, delete or refuse listings based on the item description.
